The deep shades of the exotic Merbau are at their best in large surfaces. The warm dark tone is deepened with the years. The hardness of Merbau makes it an especially durable flooring material. Merbau Is also one of the most stable woods rivalling teak in stability. The wood has medium brown color with reddish/orange highlights with coarsed grain.

Doussie is a beautiful orange/brown wood which ages to a medium brown color. It is one of the most popular imported flooring species used in Europe. Color Range: Doussie exhibits a medium range of color variation between golden tans to darker orange/browns.
Doussie undergoes substantial color change with pronounced darkening from a light orangey brown to a deeper mahogany color over time. Doussie is 140% as hard as red oak (1770 on the Janka scale vs. 1260 for red oak).
Iroki Wood Flooring by Oasis Wood Flooring
Iroko / Kambala is an open pored wood which has been used in the past for a teak substitute. As it ages it is similar in color to teak. Color Range: Iroko/Kambala exhibits a medium range of color variation once it has fully aged. As it ages from fresh cut to fully aged, it will vary greatly in color. Color Change: Iroko/Kambala exhibits an extreme degree of color change with pronounced darkening from a bright gold color when freshly milled to a medium brown color once fully oxidized. Iroko/Kambala is the same hardness as red oak (1260 on the Janka scale vs. 1260 for red oak).
Santos Mahogany by Oasis Wood Flooring
Santos Mahogany is rich dark mahogany colored wood, which is a superior choice to genuine mahogany, (which it resembles in color), given Santos Mahogany’s hardness and color fastness. Color Range: Santos Mahogany exhibits a medium range of color variation between a light orangey/brown with yellowish overtones to a dark reddish/purplish brown. Most of the specie falls into the medium to dark orange/brown mahogany tone.
Color Change: Santos Mahogany undergoes a slight degree of color change with a
slight muting of the color range over time. Santos Mahogany is 175% as hard as red oak (2200 on the Janka scale vs. 1260 for red oak).
